Your Wedding Day Will Be Beautiful - Trust Me!

Summer has arrived, and for us, summer means weddings, our happy place. As we head into wedding season full-stop, I dream of all the weddings to come this season (like literally) and pray over each one that I will do my best to help make it the best day ever for that couple. Usually, at the end of the day, my couples tell me that they loved their day. And hopefully if things didn't go perfectly, the couple never even knew.

When you hire me and your other vendors, you are hiring professionals who have done this a time or two. That doesn't diminish your importance in our eyes, but it should give you the peace of mind that we know what we are doing, what will work best, and how to pivot if necessary.

So what could go wrong? Well, it could rain. It's the Pacific Northwest, after all, so that's always a real possibility, even in July. We always have a rain plan and know how to make things work, even at the last minute.

But that's the obvious one. What else could go wrong?

Your rental delivery could be slightly off from what was ordered.

Your photos could take too long.

Your cake could collapse, or a toddler's fingers could make a huge dent in it.

Your dress could rip.

A button could fall off a suit.

You could run out of ice on a hot day.

Your florist runs out of time.

The mosquitoes could threaten to take over.

You could forget your headpiece at home.

The food truck could show up an hour late.

The caterer could leave an hour early leaving all the mess behind.

Your DJ could have no clue what songs will get your crowd on the dance floor.

The groom could forget his wedding band (seriously--this happened--and we made him one out of wire!).

All of these are real scenarios, and all of them were handled. And I would venture to guess that for most of them, the couple never knew what we took care of to ensure theirs was their best day ever. Perfect? Maybe not, but hopefully they thought so.
