Yes! We offer full-service planning (Event Artistry), partial planning (Event Design), and basic wedding management (like "Day-Of" but better--Event Management). We tailor your experience so you get the exact level of support you need.

Our "Day-of" package is a little different than most. That package is called Event Management and we begin working with you at the signing of your contract so you have support throughout your entire planning process, whether we help you find vendors and participate in design or just are available as a sounding board. Your first meeting happens pretty soon after you sign the contract.

We serve Bellevue, Seattle and surrounding areas (like Issaquah, Kenmore, Snohomish, Tacoma, etc.), the Greater PNW, and destinations throughout Washington. We are willing to travel just about anywhere!

Most couples book 9–18 months in advance. Popular dates, especially summer weekends, book very quickly. A year in advance is usually plenty of time. We've had bookings in as short as 6 weeks!

Absolutely! We have a carefully curated list of a variety of trusted vendors who match your vision, style, and budget, and manage communication throughout the process. We have developed these relationships over many years and find that working with our preferred vendors leads to a smooth and seamless day.

Of course! We are always open to new vendor relationships and are happy to help manage those you have already chosen. If you still have gaps that need to be filled, we have some great recommendations.

Our goal is to only have one wedding per weekend, but occasionally we will book a second one with the understanding that the first wedding booked has scheduling priority for the rehearsal and any other activities. We are always very transparent about this with subsequent weddings booked.

The short answer is YES! A venue coordinator is in charge of anything venue-related: tables and chairs (if provided), venue access, any set-up, cleanup, etc. They are not available to direct your vendors, keep your timeline on track, cue your DJ, direct your guests, or any of the other myriad of things we do. Do yourself a favor and hire the coordinator/planner (even if it's not us!).

A wedding planner is involved throughout the planning process, while a day-of (or wedding day) coordinator steps in closer to the wedding date to finalize details and manage the event. MG Event Design offers both services depending on your needs, however our "day-of" service (Event Management) goes a bit farther than most companies. We meet with you at the beginning of our relationship to make sure you are on track; we don't just leave you high and dry until six weeks before your wedding. We want to make sure you are comfortable with the process!

We usually say this question is irrelevant because your wedding is about you, not us! We think we are pretty good at taking your vision and helping you achieve it, whether or not it's something we would personally pick. And truthfully, some of our favorite weddings have been very different than "our style"-- we love your uniqueness!
