I recently looked through my old blogs over the years (you can see them in the Archived Blogs section of my website), and I came across one written six years and one week ago entitled "Wedding Season Reflections." I wrote about how grateful I was to get to do something I loved and how I hoped I always felt that way once the honeymoon wore off (I was only a couple of years into it then).

Six years later, I can tell you that I do, indeed, still feel that way.

I have been blessed by the people I've met along the way, especially wonderful vendors who I now refer with enthusiasm.

I'm blessed to work in some beautiful, amazing venues and when we get to go back time after time, it begins to feel like we belong.

I'm blessed to have clients who trust me to help them design gorgeous weddings, from aisle to tablescape. Stretching my creative muscles has been so rewarding. And getting to know so many amazing couples has been so wonderful. They truly are the best!

And I'm super blessed to have done almost every wedding with my oldest daughter, Natalie. Without her, I feel a little lost. She's my anchor on wedding day and helps wrap everything up tightly and beautifully.

So is it possible to love what you do and do what you love? Absolutely! I'm so grateful to God for letting me do something that gives me so much joy.

For that, I am truly blessed.
